Meet Our Founder; Lauryn
“I build strength the way I build trust. Slow. Intentional. And on my own terms. ”
Hi 👋 , Hello! You are most welcome here! (A favorite phrase I picked up from my time in Uganda)
Please allow me to introduce you to…
✨ My Self:
I’m Lauryn Mae Rembert.
I spent years feeling disconnected from my body. It was a tool. Usually malfunctioning. Something I had to fight, control or perform through. As a transracial adoptee (TRA) and complex trauma (CPTSD) survivor, I often felt like a stranger inside my own skin.
✨ My Why:
YOU. The person who has been fighting for so long for a place to be seen, held and whole.
I created Anchored Movement after years of navigating pain, disconnection, shame in the fitness world where push-hard culture left little room for nuance, softness, or safety. I needed a place that understood how complex our relationship with our bodies can be. So I created one.
This work isn’t about pushing harder, it’s about anchoring deeper.
✨ My approach:
Through a blend of strength training, yoga, somatic movement, nervous system support and intentional movement, I guide people back to themselves. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, emotional safety and the belief that movement can be a sacred reclamation of self.
✨ My Qualifications:
NASM Certififed Personal Trainer; Trauma Informed Weight Lifting (TIWL) Foundations In TIWL; Basic Principles of Somatic Experiencing; RYT 200 Hr; Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method Certification
